We've been in love with jasmine flowers as long as we can remember. The plants grow all over California and, although they bloom most of the year, the highest concentration of flowers graces the vines during summer. Its edible, fragrant, white blooms create a sweet scent that reminds us of warm summer evenings, breezes insinuating vacation days full of freedom and days spent running barefoot in the garden.

Still, as strong as their scent is, it is elusive and difficult to capture in perfume form. Growing up, our founder was so enamored of the scent that she tried every jasmine fragrance she could find, but none captured the true spirit of the flower’s powerful fragrance. It's how she discovered essential oils: searching for that perfect aroma.

Jasmine essential oil came closer to the hypnotic smell she craved than any other scent. Naturally uplifting, euphoric and an aphrodisiac, jasmine blossoms are a wonderful addition to herbal teas, baths or beauty routines. On the skin, jasmine soothes sensitive areas (greasy or dry), as well as helps reduce the appearance of scars.

Our most botanically rich lotion always manages to transport us to sun-soaked days in the garden when roses are blooming and lavender is ready to harvest. Making this product at our little apothecary is a truly delicious experience — from the sweet grassy scent of geranium that dances through the air, to mixing in rose absolute essential oil until the cream turns to a rich custard color.
