Our most botanically rich lotion always manages to transport us to sun-soaked days in the garden when roses are blooming and lavender is ready to harvest. Like all of our products, it is free of synthetic fragrance, and is instead imbued with the essences of real plants along with their healing benefits. Making this product at our little apothecary is a truly delicious experience — from the sweet grassy scent of geranium that dances through the air, to mixing in rose absolute essential oil until the cream turns to a rich custard color. It's a pick-me-up that our staffers get to enjoy while bottling every week, and one that we hope you'll enjoy at home. Read on for the many plant benefits this floral treatment brings with it.
Rose petals are cooling and astringent. We use essential oil of Damask roses which takes thousands of petals to create. Rose essential oil cools and diminishes redness while toning tissues.
Geranium regulates skin's natural oil levels and increases collagen production. This flower also has the magical ability to balance both oily and dry skin types.
Lavender speeds tissue repair and soothes irritation while supporting skin health with its naturally occurring vitamins and nutrients. Long used as a wound-healer in herbalism, you'll find this plant in many of our products.
